PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
Imagine doing your first ever deep dive on a German Warship sunk in 1919!!! Amazing!
This is one of the many reasons why the PADI Advanced Open Water course (AOW) is a very popular and exciting course to do here in Scapa Flow.
Best of all, the course is designed for the newly qualified and/or inexperienced Open Water diver. It provides you with the necessary skills to dive that little bit deeper and be more adventurous.
The course is run over 3 days and includes the PADI Dry Suit Speciality course. The emphasis throughout is on learning more practical skills, over and above those learnt on the Open Water course.
The course will consist of a deep dive, a navigation dive and a choice of 3 other adventure dives.
In summary ...
The AOW course is open to all Open Water divers, regardless of experience. The course is 3 days, to include 2 core and 3 elective dives. You will complete the PADI Dry Suit Speciality course alongside.
Again, we teach in small groups, often one on one, with the emphasis being on actual diving rather than classroom study.
The PADI Advanced qualification will enable you to dive deeper, to a maximum depth of 30m. The course is all about trying new things, learning new skills, gaining confidence and becoming more comfortable in the water.
This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
Course cost ...
i The cost of this 3 day course is £575. To include the full PADI Advanced Open Water and PADI Dry Suit diver course certifications. The price includes full equipment hire, PADI course materials etc. There are no hidden extras!

Please read the PADI Medical Statement and Medical Guidelines. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the medical questions on the form then please can you make an appointment with your local GP to discuss whether or not you are fit for diving. A Doctors signature, as confirmation that you are fit for diving, on the reverse of the form is vital only if there is a ‘yes’ answer to any medical question. Thank you.
What next ...
Upon completion of the PADI AOW course, many students choose stay on in Orkney for several extra days diving to put into practice what they have learned on the course and to further explore the world famous wrecks of Scapa Flow. This additional experience is invaluable.
