Advanced Open Water diverThe Advanced course is a 5 dive course and can be run over either 2 or 3 days, depending on your previous experience. If you are comfortable in dry suit diving, it is possible to complete the course over 2 days. If you have no previous dry suit experience the course is run over 3 days.
The course includes shore diving on the Churchill Barrier Blockships, and 1 or 2 days (depending on prior drysuit experience) boat diving. It is one of the most popular courses that we do here in Scapa Flow - imagine doing your first ever deep dive on a German Warship sunk in 1919! The Advanced Open Water course is very flexible - you can choose which adventure dives you do depending on your interests. By taking part in activities such as navigation diving, wreck, deep and dry suit diving, divers are expanding their knowledge and getting additional necessary experience whilst under the watchful eye of an instructor. At the end of the course the newly certified diver is both more confident and capable underwater and will be certified to dive to 30m independently of an instructor. On completion, many choose to stay diving with Scapa Scuba for several extra days of guided dives or to do one of our speciality courses to gain additional experience and further investigate the world famous wrecks of Scapa Flow. Our experienced Instructors/Divemasters will show you all the best bits of the wrecks! The Adventures in Diving program is designed to follow on from the Open Water Diver Course.
The 2 day course is £295/£465* and the 3 day course is £365/£565*.
* Denotes bespoke course with 1-1 direct instructor supervision throughout.
