The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedure for using EAN 21% to 100% for dives not requiring planned decompression up to a maximum depth of 40 metres. Having successfully completed this course students are encouraged to continue on to the TDI Decompression Procedures course.
Prerequisites
Practical
4 open water dives focusing on buoyancy and trim, ascent/decent techniques, valve shutdowns [if wearing a twinset] or
switching to alternate air source [if wearing a single cylinder], out of gas scenarios/air sharing, dive planning
and implementing appropriate safety stops.
Theory
Including such topics as physics, physiology, formula work, equipment considerations, dive tables, dive computers,
dive planning, common mixing procedures, decompression etc.
Course Cost:
This is a two-day course at £245 [It is possible to run Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures
together. Please phone for details]. Fully inclusive of: student manual, certification etc. Boat fees
and gas are not included.

As a general guide, Adv Nitrox can be completed in a single cylinder with a pony, Deco Procedures and Extended Range
should be completed with a manifolded twinset and the appropriate number of stage bottles. Dive computer,
back up timers, slates, DSMB, reels etc as required.
