This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. This program is designed as a stand-alone course or it may be taught in conjunction with the Advanced Nitrox or Extended Range course. The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and safely conduct decompression dives. Having successfully completed this course students are encouraged to continue on to the TDI Extended Range course.

Course Content
Practical 4 open water dives focusing on buoyancy and trim, ascent/descent techniques, valve shutdowns, stage bottle work, gas switching, out of gas scenarios, DSMB deployment, emergency procedures and more!
Theory
Includes such topics as why we need to decompress, decompression options, physics, physiology, equipment considerations,
dive tables vs. computers, dive planning including gas management and the use of deco software etc.
Course Cost:
This is a two-day course at £245 [It is possible to run Decompression Procedures and Advanced Nitrox together.

As a general guide, Adv Nitrox can be completed in a single cylinder with a pony, Deco Procedures and Extended
Range should be completed with a manifolded twinset and the appropriate number of stage bottles. Dive computer,
back up timers, slates, DSMB, reels etc as required.
