Tec Level 2

This course can be conducted as a stand-alone course [if you have already completed Tec Level 1] or as a combined course to include Tec Levels 1 and 2.

The first four/five days will cover the Tec Level 1 segment [please see above]. Throughout Tec Level 2, emphasis is placed on advanced equipment skills but dive planning is taken onto the next level.

More time is spent on gas planning logistics and you will continue to develop familiarity in the use of desktop decompression software and begin planning dives involving accelerated decompression.

Upon successful completion of the course the diver will be qualified to make decompression dives to a maximum depth of 50m using nitrox and pure oxygen for accelerated decompression.

Classroom sessions include theory work and practical applications as well as 12 open water dives [at the Churchill Barriers and on the main German Wrecks in Scapa Flow].

Prerequisites are:

Minimum age 18 years old
PADI Advanced Open Water [or equivalent] and above
PADI Rescue Diver [or equivalent] with current First Aid [EFR or equivalent]
PADI Deep Speciality [or equivalent]
PADI Nitrox Speciality [or equivalent]
Participants should have a minimum of 100 dives. Of these 25 should be below 18m, 15 below 30m and 20 using Nitrox*.
