About Us
We are a small business, operating out of Stromness in the Orkney Islands. Having closed the Scapa Scuba dive school at the end of the 2019 season, we have now massively expanded our retail space inside to create more room for lots of new brands & exciting products. Therefore we are not only a dive shop, but proud to now have expanded into chandlery, marine and outdoor products as well.

Meet the Team
Ben Wade
Owner
Ben came to Orkney in 1994 and stayed for his love of Scapa Flow.
A "Jack of all Trades” - and Master of every single one!
Ben is the absolute heart of Scapa Scuba.
He is our service technician, our dry suit maker, he works the night-shift year round to enable us to offer our ‘Overnight repair” and quick turn around service.
Alongside this he is one half of the very successful custom built dive charter boat MV Huskyan.
Sara Turner
Owner & Manager
Sara came to Stromness in 1994 to complete a Masters degree with Heriot Watt University - and never left!
She started up and ran the Scapa Scuba 5 star PADI Dive Centre for 24 seasons before taking the decision to close it September 2019.
Definitely not one to sit around, this new direction for the business keeps Sara very busy both behind the scenes and in the shop.
Bea Turner
